The Scottish Moving and Handling Passport Scheme one Day Training Course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to handle people safely and effectively in a variety of settings. The training program is delivered by Eternal Balance LLP, a recognised provider of moving and handling training in Scotland and are registered with the SMHPS.
Delegates on this course will learn about the principles of safe people handling, including the risks and hazards associated with manual handling and how to avoid them. They will also learn about the legal and ethical considerations related to people handling, as well as the importance of risk assessment and the use of equipment and aids.
The ‘Passport’ element of the scheme is the record used to confirm an employee’s manual handling training /assessments. Employees can use it to provide evidence of manual handling training/competence when transferring to other departments/ organisations, thereby avoiding any unnecessary repeat training.
On completion of training Delegates will receive a training record and Certificate of attendance.
Eternal Balance LLP can provide moving and handling audits for your employees to ensure they are trained to the SMHPS standards.
