Overview

Local Safeguarding Boards have a responsibility to ensure that agencies named under Section 11 of the Children Act 2004 have safer recruitment practices in place. This safer recruitment course provides safeguarding training to help you to ensure you meet these requirements The course will help you to recruit staff or volunteers in schools, academies, colleges or anywhere that provides services to children and their families. Our course has been developed in line with the Department for Education’s ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education (2015)’ guidance. Upon completion of this course you will gain the safeguarding skills and confidence you need to better protect children through recruiting staff and volunteers to roles in education.

Audience

  • And anybody else involved in the recruitment of people who will work with children.

    About this course

    This course has been developed in line with the Department for Education's 'Keeping Children Safe in Education Guidance (2015).

    This course features interactive quizzes, images, questions and a strong and engaging storyline throughout the entire course. This helps the learner to absorb the information and engage with the course.
