The aim of this course is to provide a good working knowledge of risk assessment, how it applies to different work environments and the responsibilities in managing risks. By the end of the course, students will be well aware of what risk management is, why it is important, why it is part of their responsibilities and the relevant legal aspects attached to it. Students will be able to identify hazards, understand who might be harmed and how, evaluate the risks and decide on adequate precautions, record and communicate findings and finally implement precautions and recommendations.
