Gastrostomy (PEG) Feeding (UK)

The aim of this course is to provide the most up-to-date theoretical and practical information related to the management of a gastrostomy or PEG feeding tube. At the end of the course, students will have learned how to identify people who are undernourished or obese through the Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool. They will have gained an understanding of the relevant anatomy and physiology as well as the role and proper use of PEG tubes. The course also reviews how to maintain and troubleshoot PEG tubes related issues, including administration of medicine.
